Real good folks. :smokin:

His BA has risen 50 points in May. I think it's because he walked so damn much in April, pitchers are now throwing strikes to him to try and get him out. It is not working. He is second in OPS in the AL among 2nd basemen, higher than Boone and Soriano. He leads the team in May RBI's with 23.

He now has 31, only 2 behind Manny!

He has 6 HR's, an OBP of .398, more 2 out RBI's than anyone on the team, and 40 walks.

Zilla was right. This guy is gonna be Mueller of last year. :smokin:

Btw, he only has 39 walks. I rounded up. Because he got screwed outta a few walks imo.

Don't get me wrong, I am thrilled that he is doing well right now. However, he is a career .232 hitter with career highs of .258 and 56 RBI in 2002. Bill Mueller actually had some decent years in San Francisco before coming to the Sox.

So I am enjoying the Bellhorn contributions right now, but I don't expect it to last very long. Hopefully long enough to help us until Nomar and Mueller return to the lineup.

Sorry to be a killjoy.

i guess i'm a killjoy too, cuz i totally agree.

this is the good bellhorn. he had a few weeks like this when he was with the cubs where he hit everything in sight. then he had the 1 for 50 slumps with 48 strikeouts.

Hey PP I will jump on board with you. Bellhorn wasnt like with the Cubs and he said that it hurt him. When he was with the Rox he started to get it together at the end of the season and the for some reason along with the Todd Walker trade that Rox fans just cant see why the hell they did it he got traded for about nothing....

I said also that this guy would do good for you and be a solid player. Get him in a place he likes and players he likes it seems he will do good for that team...

I like Bellhorn as well...

Remember, this is a guy that hit 27 hr's his only year playing regularly... Thats not bad power #'s from the 2B position... Also, even though he is a low average type of hitter his OBP% is usually more than a 100 points higher than his average so he has a knack for getting on base....

He may not be the best hitter in the world but I think he is a good complimentary type of player in that Boston line-up:D

Bellhorn should have gotten three more RBI's for that three run error that Oakland shortstop made yesterday. God damn official scorekeep should be FIRED!
