I'm not sure either. I was away from the tv. I think he had loaded up the bases after the bleeding had already started.
So have the pod people returned our boys, or are these the pod people playing tonight??

Ya got that right, Vin. :(
But hey, it was only one game. The Mets are still at .500. They just came off a streak of something like 22 innings without allowing a run. The team is still scrappy. It's only one loss.

Actually, Ginter came out in the bottom of the 6th when Valent pinch hit for him. Bottalico came in to start the 7th and that's when things got bad. I don't know why Howe didn't keep Ginter in longer, he only threw 82 pitches and was doing awesome. :(

I thought he didnt start the 7th....
Bad call on Howe's part... Low pitch count and throwing a good game...
Doesnt make sense to pull him....

When he came out, the game was still only 1-0. Taking him out for a PH makes sense. As we saw last night, it's important to score a lot of runs against the league's top offense.
If Bottalico/Franco/Stanton had been able to shut the door after errors by Kaz and Mikey, this would all be moot and no one would be whining.
