Trot Nixon was 0-for-3 in an extended spring training game on Saturday and made two putouts in the outfield, according to the AP. Red Sox manager Terry Francona said that Nixon ran at about 75%. Nixon is expected to be evaluated on Friday and play again on Saturday. He could return to the Red Sox in early June.

thats good stuff. but how is the fielding going to be? Nixon will of course be in right field. then millar will either move to 1st or DH? and ortiz whichever millar didnt take, is that right?

The Boston Herald reports that Trot Nixon will probably find out in the next few days when his rehab assignment will begin. He is expected to go first to Class-A Sarasota.
