i think best player in baseball is a little too much. However, he is one of the top players in baseball. he's definately hot right now, and it seems like every at bat he has a chance to do damage.

Only reason why Vlad would give him a run for his money, is because Vlad gets SBs, and Manny doesn't. Maybe defensively too, but I was talking about being a pure hitter.

From a hit/rbi standpoint, Manny is just a machine! He is the guy in the lineup that just strikes terror into the heart of the opposing pitcher.

From a personality standpoint, we were sitting real close to him in LF yesterday and I really got an opportunity to watch him...he is REALLY responding to the fans this season! We were having the best time with him yesterday...he was acknowledging cheers from the crowd, waving, throwing balls to the fans...we even sang Happy Birthday to him and he smiled and waved :D He's just a lot more fun this season. :clap:

I dont know, Vlad has hit .300 every season since 1997, averaging aroune 30 HR per year, and he strikes out a decent amount less too.

I also think vlad is a great player. also, now that hes not playing for montreal, and for anaheim, he should get some more chances to drive people in. we'll see what happens i guess.

Both manny and vlad are great, and I dont think you can make disctinctions, really.

PP is right he is about the best right handed hitter in baseball but he looks like he is on roller skates out there in the field. He is far from the best fielder.

It just sounds so condescending. Maybe I read it the wrong way though. If I did, i'm sorry, but it sounded cruel to me, maybe I was just in a bad mood after the sox lost...
