I've got Steve McNair and Todd Heap under contract through the '04 season ... Under our weird rules, it gives me up to 8 years worth of contracts to sign before our draft (I'll explain that part if you're really interested).

From what I've got left on my team to sign, I'm thinking of picking between Marc Bulger and Chad Pennington, maybe sign one of them for 2-3 years ... I have a long list of RB possibilities --- Fred Taylor, Eddie George, Trung Canidate, Onterrio Smith and James Stewart --- but not sure how they'll turn out as far as playing time right now ... My wide receivers sucked, and the only other person who might be worthy of a contract is kicker Mike Vanderjagt.

Any ideas, suggestions?

First thing that leaps out at me is, can you make trades? I'd be packaging Pennington or Bulger with Fred Taylor and trying to pick up a sure thing. Keep the other one under contract.

I'd cut all the RB, if I couldn't trade them.

I normally don't like to contract K, but Mike might be the guy to try it with. Dome kicker, great offense.

Good Luck

You might as well sign both QBs, and try and deal one. I would also keep Taylor, and if you are hard pressed for another contract, sign Onterrio Smith.

Trung was just released. I doubt it will make much difference but you can see where he lands. He might gain some trade value if he goes to a team with a dearth of RB.

Stewart is a FA but from what's being reported is being looked at by Miami. If he signs, I'd be looking to make a quick deal while the bloom is on the rose, so to speak.
