Harrys life is in mortal danger yet again, this time more than ever. Firstly a killer named Sirus Black has escaped from azkaban prison and it seems that he broke out just to finish what his master wanted to do 13 years ago; to kill Harry Potter!. Also, for Harrys' protection, Azkaban has sent hundreds of Dementors to guard Hogwarts in an attempt to catch Black. But will they turn out to be a great help or a big mistake?...

I wouldn't call myself a fan and I haven't read any of the books and don't want too but they do make good movies that are enjoyable. So I'll see it.

If you like the movies you would love the books. The books will kick the movies ass every time. I saw the first two movies first before I read the book and then I read all the books that are out now and then watched the two movies again and they sucked. Books are the only way to go with HP...

Books are definitely better then the movies, although I have high hopes for this one with a different director and the darker plot. Book #3 was my favorite, it totally threw me for a loop. IThe books are great, like an escape, very readable, true page turners. When #5 came out last year, I waited at midnight at B & N at Columbus Circle, read it as soon as I got on the train and read non-stop till the end. Now I am re-reading #5 so that I can enjoy it/analyze it. Man that book was soooooooo great and intriguing. Now I am dying for #6....

Geez, Kat, that's amazing! I'm impressed!
I don't think *physically* I could ever do that with any book, since I'd get really tired (my eyes, my back, etc. etc.) Even with books that I've found really interesting and I can't wait to see what happens next, I usually get to a point where I'll have to stop, just cause physically I feel like crap and I start getting a headache, etc. etc.
So you bought it at midnight and read nonstop to the end... what time did you actually go to sleep then?!
Anyway, returning to the topic at hand... I've enjoyed the movies, but haven't read any of the books. I keep telling myself to read the books, but never do it. Guess that puts me as not being a really big fan... :) (but I will continue to go see the movies... :D )

Saw Movie #3 on Saturday with the family in Minneapolis.
It was outstanding!!!
I liked the first two movies alot, but wasn't blown away..... I've read all the books. This third movie is definitely the best, though. The new director has captured the darker feeling that's creeping over the series by this time. The dementors are super scary. Gary Oldman is outstanding as Sirius Black. I love that Harry and Ron and Hermione are getting older.
To my mind, this movie really, really captured the essence of the books.
