Eric Byrnes tore up the Diminican Republic league batting .345 and tied for the league lead with 11 HR's and finished 2nd in rbi with 37.
Byrnes has an excelent chance of seeing significant playing time in the outfield. He plays all three OF positions and with LF David Justice D.H.ing and RF Jermaine Dye returning from a broken leg you gotta like his chances. Terrance Long will play center, Jeremy Giambi will be in the mix too after recently signing a one year deal worth just over $1 million.
