We agreed on a price Sunday, and got the signed contract yesterday. WOO HOO!

It's a ranch in on a nice quiet street. 1800 square feet, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, large finished basement (included in the 1800 sq foot estimate), oversized two car detached garage, mud room/laundry room, deck off the dining room (added in 2003) and patio area under the deck. The house has hardwood floors throughout, but some of it is carpeted (we're going to rip out the carpet). We have not finalized the closing date, but it will most likely be late Summer. The current owners are building a house in Florida and it's not done yet. This house was built in 1960 and is in MINT condition. I think it's safe to say the current owners are neat freaks. It's a 1.1 acre lot.

Here are two pics I copied from the agent's website...

That is a great looking house. Love the big trees. That was the downside to building a new home, no real trees. Many congrats. I hope the price was right. You had said you were looking for a long time. That is cool. I am almost at one month now of owning my house. It is a great feeling. And the land is a nice size too.

Thanks, everyone!!! The house is in Simsbury, CT. We're so excited! We still can't believe it's real. It's so much nicer than what we expected to get for a house. :)

This kind of explains why the Sox losses this week have not really bothered me all that much. :D

Edit: Here is picture #2 (I got pulled away from my desk before I could attach it before)

Where the heck is Simsbury?

I'm really happy for you Babs, but being our team is done I can't get excited right now. I will later. :(

Simsbury is in the northwest part of the state. It's to Connecticut what Chestnut Hill is to your neck of the woods. Very nice town with lots of expensive homes.
