I simply cannot allow my summer to continue to be ruined by an idiot manager. I'm taking a break. A few days, maybe a few weeks. I want to be as happy at night as I am during the day. Not possible watching this manager lose game after game.

 :(
See ya soon.

Glad I signed in before I left to see this thread, Jacqui. I know what that feeling is like what with the Cavs and Browns over the years. You know me, an eternal optimist, and the best advice I can give is to dwell on what went right. I get pissed about what went wrong in games, but right after I'm angry, I think of something good in the game so that I think about that the rest of the day rather than what went wrong. It allows me to handle the losses easier, and also gives me confidence for the next game.

Being the optimist, I like optimistic quotes, so let me leave a few for you that I like to put in a good mindset. So apply to the bigger picture, but you get the idea.

"Optimism is the one quality more associated with success and happiness than any other."
- Brian Tracy

"A healthy attitude is contagious but don't wait to catch it from others. Be a carrier."
- Unknown

"When walking through the 'valley of shadows,' remember, a shadow is cast by a Light."
- H. K. Barclay

"I've always believed that you can think positive just as well as you can think negative."
- Sugar Ray Robinson

"I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward."
- Thomas Edison

And as always
"In the long run the pessimist may be proved right, but the optimist has a better time on the trip."
- Daniel L. Reardon

And I don't know what to say about Pedro's 4.40 ERA. I guess it's hard to say anything when you're in shock.

:laff: :laff:

The way I see it, if the playoffs last year didn't push me to abandon the Sox, I am afraid I'm hopelessly trapped. Oh well.

Don't be gone too long, Princess!!!!

Are any of you members at Jerry Remy's message board? I'm a member there but have only posted a few times. Anyway, everyone there is all pissed off and ready to throw in the towel. It's funny yet depressing to read. More funny than depressing though. And yes, they are ready to execute Terry Frankfurter

Well hell, I'd rather vent than hide. Steaming alone just doesn't cut it.

Thanks K, I always appreciate your good vibes. :smokin:

Redsoxman-That bald quote cracked me up.
