Maggs Going on the DL

Magglio Ordonez will be placed on the DL as soon as tomorrow because of his injury.It is speculated that he will be out between 6-8 weeks. :(

He left the game in the 9th inning on May 25th after straining a calf muscle,and hasn't played since.But it appears the injury is much more serious than originally thought.

WMAQ-TV reported that he may have a partial tear in his MCL which would require surgery.He may go under the knife as soon as Friday.

Maggs will undergo arthroscopic surgery tomorrow in Chicago. He will be out anywhere from 4-7 weeks.
The injury to his leg and kneee is not considered real serious,but doctors are hopeful they will find something and have it corrected.
