matt made me watch the first Shrek with him (we all know i'm not a big fan of cartoons) :hmm:
it was okay. didn't hate it or anything but i still don't get WHY people are such big fans of movies like that (cartoony movies, that is). it just seems like if it were a real-life version, matt & other cartoon-lovers wouldn't be so keen on it...... still don't get the whole cartoon thing...but oh well :notme:
on the other hand, I LOVED "KILL BILL" :eek: :jump: omigod! that movie spoke to me! i had been ambivalent about watching it since it first came out (because i had heard it was so violent) but then finally we both just decided to rent it and watch.....well, i immediately connected to it! the whole REVENGE thing spoke to me! boy, was uma PISSED! i could relate! :D even the violence didn't bother me cuz i GOT where she was coming from and i've definitely had days like that, where i wanted to go Kill Bill on people! :D
oh, and i LOVED all the martial arts/fighting scenes! uma was such a badass, i loved it! :clap: i thought it was funny too...... can't wait to see the second one!!!! it's still playing in one or two theaters in manhattan!
