I surprised the '88 O's aren't on the worst list after their 0-21 start ... And didn't the '84 Tigers set some mark for best record through 35 or 40 games? Strange not seeing them on the best list.

when you say Orioles 0-21 in 88' was that the year that they came back to win the division?

Willie, the "88" O's were 18-49 at 67 games and the "84" Tigers were 49-18 at 67 games....

Blue, the O's finished 54-107 in "88"

In 1974, the year they won the division, they were 34-33 after 67 games and ended up 91-71....

I knew that the '84 Tigers went into a tailspin after whatever start they got off to (35-5, or 34-5 wasn't it?) ... But I forgot about the '88 O's actually came back and played about .500 after that start.

You know during that losing streak. We had the Orioles here at county Stadium and I went to one of the game.

And I tell you on that night I seen there right fielder play as bad defencely as you would ever see a player play. I tell you on that night if this player had to take more then one step he couldn't catch the ball.
