Well, he is thin in the middle infield for this game, hard to blame Jimy totally. But it's one thing to be pushed into this situation because of injury(s); it's totally another to already have been planning to give Kent the day off and this is your lineup. Was Jimy already planning on having Lamb play 2B???

Was Bruntlett ailing? He would seem to me to be the obvious choice.

As Charlie Pulilo said on sports radio 610. "Is a this a dumb, manager's decision" or is a "dumb managers', decision"? I love the play on the inflection. I think I know where we would stand. Janet and I were at the game. I disagreed with his decision to pitch Oswalt in the 8th (although it worked out) and saw only one play Lamb didn't make that I thought Bruntlett might, but he did make a nice play or two besides that play. (I also saw the dumbest drunk maneuver yet at the ballpark, but that will have to wait until the next meeting at the Flying Saucer).
