EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Two-time Pro Bowl tight end Jeremy Shockey had surgery on his right foot on Tuesday that will cause him to miss the start of the New York Giants' training camp.
Shockey had a screw inserted into the fifth metatarsal of his foot by Dr. Robert Anderson in the procedure performed at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C.
The Giants didn't give a timetable for Shockey's recovery but they said he would be ready for the start of the regular season.
