Melvin Mora returned to action Friday after missing six games with a sprained left foot, but he left the game in the fifth inning with more pain in the injured area. Mora also revealed that he's been nursing a sore hamstring behind his right knee, according to the AP. Before leaving, Mora smacked his 12th homer of the year.

The Orioles will purchase the contract of outfielder Chad Mottola from Triple-A Ottawa on Wednesday to replace the injured Jay Gibbons on the roster. Mottola is batting .270 with seven homers and 29 RBI for the Lynx.
