IMO you have to see 2 sides of the story to see which side your taking. And with only watching American TV and not seeing the other side how can you take sides?

I do not like George Bush and believe he covered up a lot of the events surrounding September 11th, but I will not watch a Michae Moore movie. Just the fact that my nephew worships him makes me hesitant.

people fail to realize this is NOT documnetary ,this is mostly all michael moore's opinion and this movie is more like an editorial
he wants people to think what he is providing is 100% fact

i haven't seen it yet but i do plan on seeing it just to see other peoples views

Only seeing what American TV wants you to see?

Most American television is liberal as hell!

When a Demorcat rights a review like this on this movie a guy that wants Bush to lose this year slams it this bad then I dont think there is a bit of truth to it...
http://slate.msn.com/id/2102723/
To describe this film as dishonest and demagogic would almost be to promote those terms to the level of respectability. To describe this film as a piece of crap would be to run the risk of a discourse that would never again rise above the excremental.

A film that bases itself on a big lie and a big misrepresentation can only sustain itself by a dizzying succession of smaller falsehoods, beefed up by wilder and (if possible) yet more-contradictory claims.
Wow that sounds like it is full of truth dont it?

Moore asserts that Iraq under Saddam had never attacked or killed or even threatened (his words) any American. I never quite know whether Moore is as ignorant as he looks, or even if that would be humanly possible. Baghdad was for years the official, undisguised home address of Abu Nidal, then the most-wanted gangster in the world, who had been sentenced to death even by the PLO and had blown up airports in Vienna* and Rome. Baghdad was the safe house for the man whose "operation" murdered Leon Klinghoffer. Saddam boasted publicly of his financial sponsorship of suicide bombers in Israel. (Quite a few Americans of all denominations walk the streets of Jerusalem.) In 1991, a large number of Western hostages were taken by the hideous Iraqi invasion of Kuwait and held in terrible conditions for a long time.
That sounds like he has his facts right dont it??? :notme:

Moore has announced that he won't even appear on TV shows where he might face hostile questioning. I notice from the New York Times of June 20 that he has pompously established a rapid response team, and a fact-checking staff, and some tough lawyers, to bulwark himself against attack. He'll sue, Moore says, if anyone insults him or his pet.
Why if it is the truth then you have nothing to fear? :notme:

And as for the scary lawyers—get a life, or maybe see me in court. But I offer this, to Moore and to his rapid response rabble. Any time, Michael my boy. Let's redo Telluride. Any show. Any place. Any platform. Let's see what you're made of.
Like I said this is a Demorcat righting this!!!

This is a very long review and takes many things in the movie and just slams them...

Moore is so out of touch with the real world. He just lives in his with twinkes and Ho-Ho's..

Sure seems like a lot of "reviews" in this thread despite not too many people having actually seen the film. And almost all of the pros and cons appear to be either anti-Bush or anti-Moore, not true opinions of the movie.

But Willie, from what I've heard, this "movie" is Moore's opinion of Bush and trying to prove it. So there's no actual movie to review.

I was watching TV last night and I seen part of a discussion on this movie and a lady that was in the discussion said "Those who dislike Bush will come out still disliking him with those who favor him will be upset and those who are undesided will likely take nothing from it."

And as funny as that sounds Don't that sums up the whole thing up in a nutshell.

I'm thinking a lot of movies are someone's interpretation of some event. Mel Gibson's Passion, Oliver Stone's JFK, etc., etc., etc. Even Monty Python's Life of Brian fits. All I'm saying is people should review the film and not the filmmaker. And I'm quite sure that 645 is right about the end result from this one: The only people who will be swayed completely to Moore's view or Bush's view after seeing this are those spineless folks who just bend in whatever direction the last person pushes them, or people who haven't been paying attention to things up to now.

And bottom line: It's ok to disagree with someone's opinion, just don't attack them for having a different opinion. It's just sickening to me how much time is spent attacking the "other side" on any issue.

that is such a lie. American telivision is far from liberal, in fact, its the most conservative ive seen in my life. you want liberal telivision, go back to holland! that's liberal. all these stations...fox in particular, are conservative.

yeah, it is his opinion, but he backs it up with facts. video evidence. you dont have to believe anything moore says, but dont ***** about it unless you've seen it...just like barry bonds talking about boston. go see it, then talk. dont talk about what you dont know.
