Detroit Tigers utilityman Brandon Inge was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a broken finger following Saturday's 7-6 win over Arizona.
Inge was originally in the lineup to start Saturday's game at third base, but felt pain in his right hand during batting practice and was scratched. He was hit in the hand by a pitch while trying to lay down a sacrifice bunt in Friday's win over Arizona.
Eric Munson started Saturday's game at third base in place of Inge and hit a game-winning home run in the bottom of the ninth inning.
Inge is batting .303 with seven homers and 30 RBI this season. He has played at third base, in the outfield and at catcher in 59 games.
To replace Inge on the roster, the Tigers recalled veteran catcher Mike DiFelice from Triple-A Toledo.
