Who has the worst division in MLB. After sitting though a weekend of just bad NL West baseball I got to think it is the NL west. What do you think?

my vote goes to the AL East. The only two team division in baseball. For some reason, it isn't on the poll, though.

Hell will no doubt freeze over as soon as I say this, but I'm going to agree with Shawn on this one: At this point in this season, the AL East has the least depth and competition.

I think it's the NL East. As bad as the Braves have played, for them to be only 4.5 games off the lead tells me that's a pretty sorry division.

Ok but the AL East has two good teams. Then NL West has NO good teams...

I would say that the Giants are a pretty good team. Just because the division is close doesnt mean the teams are not good. An entire division could finish at .500 and it could be considered the best division in the league.

I dont think the Gaints are a good team at all. They got in the playoffs last year just because they was the best of a bad lot. They got there butts kicked in the playoffs and then lost good players they had on there team and didnt replace them. They are a team with two good starting pitchers and the best player in baseball right now. They are just the best in a bad lot again this year.

The D-Rays are only a couple of games back from the Wild Card

Good point, Ren. But Tampa needs to keep it together a little while longer, maybe through August, before I will really start to believe in them.
I think the NL West has been more of a disappointment in some ways than weak ... Arizona's going through a retooling process and lost Sexson's big stick early ... San Diego was picked by many "experts" to be the most improved team in the NL this year and they haven't really gotten it together ... Colorado is in some state of flux though their fans might use a different F-word ;) ... And I think Los Angeles is eternally cursed now, the O'Malley's put some kind of voodoo doodoo on them when they walked out the office the last time ... That leaves the Giants who, after a very slow start, are turning things around and looking like a pretty good to very good team now.
But I still think it's a more competitve and deeper division overall than the AL East is playing right now (until the D-Rays prove they're for real).

The D-Rays will most likely be closer after this series against the Jays.
NL West: It has Arizona at a record of 27-48 and Colorado(28-46).
Montreal is the only team in the majors with a worst record.
Then 2 of the 3 other teams in the NL west are bearly .500 teams. So you can't do much worse then that.

Put me down for the AL Central.you have Minnesota and Chicago fightingit out to see who can be the first to win 85 games this year, and you have sub-.500 Cleveland lurking around, and Detroit is just hanging around now.

the AL Central usually always comes down to only a 2 team race but I think they are better now simply cause the Brewers are still gone
