Minor Leagues | Smith and Rushford fuel a rout for Scranton

NORFOLK, Va. - Mark Smith and Jim Rushford each drove in three runs as the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons beat the Norfolk Tides, 11-3, yesterday in the International League.

Harrisburg 12, Reading 11

HARRISBURG, Pa. - Juan Camilo hit a two-out bloop single in the 11th inning to send home the winning run as the Senators edged the Phillies in the Eastern League.

Solo home runs by Harrisburg's Alejandro Machado and Larry Broadway had tied the score in the bottom of the ninth.

Kevin Barker paced Reading with a single, three doubles, and a two-run homer.

Ryan Howard added three hits, including a pair of homers, and drove in five runs for the Phillies. He has six homers and 14 RBIs in his last four games and is the league leader in both homers (28) and RBIs (76).

Trenton 4, Binghamton 2

TRENTON - Matthew DeSalvo threw six solid innings and Andy Cannizaro collected three hits to help the Thunder complete a sweep of their weekend series with the Mets in the Eastern League.

Wilmington 7, Winston-Salem 2

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Donnie Murphy homered for the Blue Rocks in a Carolina League win over the Warthogs.

Delmarva 5, Lakewood 3

LAKEWOOD, N.J. - Cory Harris homered as the Shorebirds beat the BlueClaws in the South Atlantic League.

Atlantic City 12, Pennsylvania 7

ATLANTIC CITY - Raul Marval hit a homer and two doubles as the Surf whipped the Road Warriors to move into first place in the Atlantic League's Southern Division.

Bridgeport 9, Camden 6

CAMDEN - Jamie Gann belted a seventh-inning grand slam to lift the Bluefish over the Riversharks in the Atlantic League.
