Who are the only players to steal seven bases in one game? :cool:

Are you claiming that 5 is the all-time record, or that somebody may have stolen more in one game but only one person has ever stolen EXACTLY 5 ?
--I know Eddie Collins stole 6 bases in one game on 2 separate occasions

HMatsui, I made the mistake of getting this question along with the wrong answer from another site w/o following up on it....
Anyways, the question is now reworded correctly...
Collins did steal 6 in 1 game on 2 different occasions but there are 2 players that stole 7....

fair enough.
About the players with 7 - they must be 19th century players...I know Collins holds the record for 20th century.
I'll guess one of them is Billy Hamilton (you owns pretty much every damn record from before the turn of the century)
As to the other person, I don't have a clue....might have to go look for it

and, a guy named George Gore (interesting combination of names) in 1881, both of whom stole 7 bases in one game.
