ever watch a movie and get blown away by an actor/actress and walk away feeling like they can do no wrong after that? then you watch all their movies and think they're just amazing (even if the movie may not be all that)

first actor who comes to mind... EDWARD NORTON!

i love him. ever since i saw his first big movie, Primal Fear, it was all over. he could do no wrong to me. i loved him in Fight Club and Rounders and The 25th Hour and The People vs. Larry Flynt (even though his role was small, didn't matter). i ought to go see American History X...but i resist cuz i'm afraid it's gonna be very disturbing to me....

anyway, edward norton is that guy for me. the guy who can do no wrong. :)

For me, it's Johnny Depp. ;)

I've been a fan of his ever since I saw Edward Scissorhands over ten years ago and I love everything that he's ever been in.

I hate it when I see these 12-year-old teenyboppers who only like him because they saw Pirates of the Caribbean and thought he was cute.

Agreed on Johnny Depp and Ed Norton.

I really like Ben Stiller, I have liked in some cases loved each and evry one of his movies:

Keeping the Faith (Ed Norton and Ben Stiller and Jenna Elfman whom I love!)
Meet the Parents
Dodgeball
Starsky and Hutch
Zoolander
Along came Polly
Reality Bites (even though I can't stand Winona Ryder)
Royal Tenebaums

right down to his bit parts in Happy Gilmore and Orange County.

And then there is Jack Black: School of Rock, Orange County, Shallow Hal, High Fidelty.

definitely gotta thing for funny men....

etc, etc, etc.

Ohhhh: bencio del toro (traffic and 21 grams, so intense)

Definitely Johnny Depp.

Emma Thompson - no matter what she's in, she's like this shining light...love her work.

Kathy Bates..... I could just watch her pick up a spoon and think she was brilliant.

Gary Sinise - For me, riveting in anything he does.

speaking of depp .....how the hell is he going to play willy wonka in the remake?

just looking at some of these actors, Ed norton was great in american history X and fight club

jack black is awesome, loved him in just about every movie, even his bit part in the cable guy but loved saving silverman as well, i can pretty much quote that movie line for line

meg ryan looks diffrent now, she used to be cute

gary sinese is great as well

but i can't think of my own answer to the question........

Peter Sellers (Even though I just said The Magic Christian was way weird to me now), Gene Hackman, Robin Williams, Willem Dafoe and Kevin Kline ... On the lovely ladies side I've already mentioned Holly Hunter, couple of oldies in Lauren Bacall and Myrna Loy, also like Kathy Bates (Misery and About Schmidt were great performances), Ellen Burstyn (Same Time Next Year was a fabulous movie, she was ten times better than Alan Alda), Mary Louise Parker and Geena Davis.

I've never seen her perform, but I also rate Nancy Lindeberg pretty high on the actress list :D

I might get an earfull for this but I'm a fan of Kevin Costner and I think that Waterworld, The Postman and Tin Cup are highly overlooked movies.

I really like Depp also but man, did I not like Secret Window.... I thought that movie stunk!

For a comedy actor, I agree with Kat with Stiller... Not sure if I have ever seen a movie of his that I didnt like.....

I am also a big George Clooney and Harrison Ford fan....

I think I have to go along the lines as Pop on this one....
Nancy Lindeberg :luvkiss:

But the man that is freaking great and I feel is so looked over on what he did in his lifetime and I could watch every movie he ever made for the rest of my life is the Duke...

John Wayne... :usa:

:hail:
I feel ashamed for having left him off my list. I know those movies rate on the bad or corny lists for many, but I was entertained and escaped into the story, all that I ask for in any movie.
