WHATEVER HAPPENED TO TYLER GREEN?

Then: Phillies' All-Star righthander in 1995...Phils' No. 1 draft pick (10th overall) in 1991 plagued by elbow injuries that ended a short, disappointing career in 1998 (18-25 record, 5.16 ERA)...member of the 1993 National League champion Phillies as a rookie...

Tried unsuccessfully to come back from elbow surgery in 1999 spring- training tryouts with Kansas City and Cleveland.

Now: Active member of the Philadelphia community as vice president of the sports entertainment division of Smart & Associates, responsible for assisting athletes' and entertainers' financial needs...Just finished second season as manager Craig Conlin's pitching coach at Germantown Academy, which finished 32-2 and ranked among the nation's top 10. Proud of his work with pitching staff that included four Division I college scholarship performers...Writes and produces music in his home studio in Blue Bell...Played keyboard on baseball-related CD "Big League Rocks"...Active with various charities, avid golfer...Age 34, wife Lynne, daughters Amanda, 4 ½; Abby, 3; Emma, 10 months.

Fondest Phillies memory: "Being a part of the '93 championship team. What a cast of characters. I learned so much from those guys, most importantly that with all the hard work involved in being successful, the game

can be fun, too. I never forgot that."

All-Star Game memory: "I got there early for the workout [the day before] and walked into the locker room and saw all the names on the lockers and was just in awe. It looked like my Sony PlayStation team. Then I saw my name and I couldn't believe it."

Best advice to high school pitchers: Learn the value of strengthening the lower body and develop a changeup.
