The wrist surgery Friday on Greg Colbrunn went well and there were no surprises, according to the Diamondbacks official web site.

Alex Cintron (SS) ARZ
Alex Cintron will once again be the Diamondbacks starting shortstop now that Bob Brenly is no longer running the show, according to the team's official web site. Brenly had been giving Tim Olson a lot of playing time there of late. New manager Al Pedrique stated that the job belongs to Cintron.

Steve Sparks
Steve Sparks was moved to the bullpen on Thursday according to the team's web site. Manager Al Pedrique said the move was permanent and that the Diamondbacks would likely call up a starter from the minors to fill the hole in the rotation.

Steve Finley
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that the Phillies are close to a deal to acquire Steve Finley from the Diamondbacks. The Dodgers are reportedly the other finalist. Finley has apparently told the Diamondbacks that if a deal is going to be made, he wants it done by Thursday.
