They say it's a frayed rotator cuff. They say he'll be out for a month, that two weeks rest plus two weeks to work his way back will be all it takes.

Color me skeptical. I have a feeling of utter doom here. I don't think that we'll have him back this season (or if we do that he'll be effective). I expect he's gonna have surgery. Probably not till the off-season, but it'll happen. And he'll never be the same.

I feel totally depressed about this.

Richard Justice said that the organization is wondering why he has lost a few MPH on his fastball in the last couple of seasons. This might be an explanation. Hopefully rest will help.

same thing happened to joe borowski. should be a 4-6 week thingy possibly.
