Crazy ass game in Houston, took about four hours to play the fifth inning.

I have the Ranger feed here. I am really tired of Tom Greive. He just cannot bring himself to give credit to anyone who is not a Ranger. Everything the other team does is by accident and nothing is as good as as the way his team does it. He's as bad an announcer as his son is a baseball player. He's not a commentator, he's a common tater.
Makes me really appreciate Bill Brown and Jimmy D.:thumbsup:

No lie, Toy! What a sorry sack of poop he is ... I'm thinking you were referring to his comment about the scoring on giving Biggio a single in the 5th inning instead of giving Michael Young his second error of the inning ... I think the scorer did right on that, calling it a single, since I really don't think Young had a play at first ... If Young makes the tough play, Grieve would be all over it with some over the top call about what a tough play it was; but when he doesn't make the play, Grieve acts like he missed some routine grounder! :hmm:
This is also typical of the Hill Country/Central Texas bias against anything out of Houston and pro anything in the Dallas area ... Very true of the media in San Antonio ... If you landed here from another planet and read the Alamo City fish wrap, you'd probably come away thinking the following:
1) San Antonio is the capital of Mexico;
2) The Spurs have won every NBA Finals, or been cheated out of winning every NBA Finals;
3) When they're winning, the Cowboys play in a San Antonio suburb called Dallas; when they lose, the Cowboys play in a distant land called Dallas;
4) The University of Texas is the only college in the Lone Star State, and finally;
5) Everyone in Houston is either a murderin' crackhead punk, crooked politician or both ... Oh, and Houston is the sole source of pollution in the state :hmm:

On Berkman's catch the night before, he said it was not in the same league with Conti's grab of Beltran's drive. He made it sound like Lance's catch was automatic and routine. Oh well, we kicked their a$$ and he has to chew on that for awhile:D

Realizing your remark is tongue-in-cheek (at least partially tongue-in-cheek :D ), I will refrain from being too Aggie-istic right now :thumbsup:
Seriously, despite my maroon blood, I long ago resigned myself to UT getting the lion's share of press in this state, especially here in the Texas Hill Country ...But the Alamo City media goes out of their way to, ahem!, bend over for those limp-wristed teasips ... And in the process, they come up short covering other schools and teams, even within their own city limits ... And they have long had an anti-Houston bias that leaves the objectivity cries of the SA media, electronic and print, hollow.
