Only 10 Hall of Fame position players have more homers than they do doubles plus triples ... The list includes both Hank Aaron (755 HR, 623 doubles & triples) and Babe Ruth (714 HR, 642 doubles & triples).
How many of the other eight can you name, and which one has the greatest gap between their home run total and their 2B + 3B total???

Let me run down some fellows who were known for HR's. They'll most likely be more recent players so I'll start with:
The Killer most likely had the biggest gap.
Mantle
Schmidt
Banks
Reggie
Eddie Mathews
Stargell
Kiner

Well, you got 6 of what was really 9 more HOFers with more homers than doubles + triples ... My eyes tricked this morning and there are 11 who fit this bill, not the 10 that I mentioned before.
The only one you got wrong was Stargell who had 745 homers and 478 two- and three-baggers combined. McCovey, Campanella and Killebrew were the only ones you left off, good job ... Killebrew has the biggest gap of them all with more than 250 additional homers than his other extra base knocks.
More homers than doubles & triples combined (listed in order of career homers):
PLAYER . . . . HR . .2B+3B . .DIFF
1. Aaron . . .755 . .622 . . .133
2. Ruth. . . .714 . .642 . . . 72
3. Killebrew .573 . .314 . . .259
4. R.Jackson .563 . .512 . . . 51
5. Schmidt . .548 . .467 . . . 81
6. Mantle. . .536 . .416 . . .120
7. McCovey . .521 . .399 . . .122
8. Banks . . .512 . .497 . . . 15
9. E.Mathews .512 . .426 . . . 86
10 Kiner . . .369 . .255 . . .114
11 Campanella.242 . .196 . . . 46
