2002 Festival of Baseball
The Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association is proud to announce the 12th Annual Festival of Baseball to be held on March 15 and 16 in St. Petersburg, Florida. Future Hall of Famer and Tampa native Wade Boggs will once again host this year's event.
The weekend schedule of events is as follows:
March 15th
8am - 2pm "Swing with the Legends" golf tournament at the Pasadena Yacht & Country Club in Gulfport, Florida
6pm - 10pm "Baseball for Kids" Dinner & Auction at The TradeWinds Isalnd Resort on St. Pete Beach, FloridaFor information on purchasing a ticket or table, please contact Sylvia Ameen with All Children's Hospital at (727) 892-4476.
March 16th
1pm - 4pm Autograph Signing at the Tyrone Square Mall in St. Petersburg, FloridaIf you would like to send items via mail order look for an advertisement in Sports Collectors Digest in February.Please check back for updates of players to appear and other information. Tickets can be purchased on March 15 and 16 in front of the Champs Store at Tyrone Square Mall.
2pm - 4pm "Legends for Youth" Baseball Clinic at Florida Power Park at Al Lang Field in St. Petersburg, Florida
6pm - 9pm "Legends of Baseball" Game at Florida Power Park at Al Lang Field in St. Petersburg, Florida
Tickets go on sale, Monday, February 18, 2002 and can be purchased by calling Ticket Master at (727) 898-7297 or in-person at the Tampa Bay Devil Rays ticket office at Tropicana Field.
