Scoreless through 5 innings, been listening to the game on WBAL the last few innings ... Bedard has been pretty outta' sight, if I may be so bold.
I coulda' sworn I heard someone with a thick Scottish accent yelling in the background a coupla' innings ago!

Royals paste a 4-spot on the O's in the top of the 6th :hmm:
Wil have to ask Obri if remembers them playing some Dire Straits in the top of the 6th, pretty weird radio feed, every half inning I'm just listening to the crowd and the music/advertisements that's playing in Camden.
Sparky singles in bottom of 6th for Baltimore

They're playing Los Lonely Boys (How Far is Heaven?) in between bottom of 6th and top of 7th, very cool group and cool song.

A very loud group of fans with the 7th-inning stretch really beltin' out both Take Me Out to the Ballgame and John Denver's Thank God I'm Country Boy!
Miggy leads off the bottom of 7th, with Javy and Raffy on deck

Angel Berroa leads off reaching 1B via an E-1 (Borkowski) on a dropped flip from Raffy ... Single for the #2 man in KC's order, can't remember the name.
Recently-departed-Astros-prospect-in-the-Beltran-trade John Buck at the plate for KC ... I'd be yelling "Go Buck!" He's 2-for-4 tonight. Bunt, sacrifice, runners move to 2B-3B on the Bucky bunt ... O's issue an IBB, this could get ugly :(

Darrell May has only faced 26 Orioles (2 over the limit) through 8th! A 3-hitter into the bottom of the 9th.
Newhan flares a single to right leading off ... Sparky up now.
Swinging strikeout :hmm:
Hairston up, May is still below 100 pitches, 98 so far! Two quick strikes ... Foul, ball one, popped in shallow right, Graffanino with the catch, 2 outs.
Miggy in the box now ... Strike 1 ... Grounder to Graffanino, toss to 1st, ends the game.

Just thought of something: That was probably the first time Obri has ever seen a complete game shutout.
:bball:
Yes Willie, that is the first time I've seen a complete game shutout! The whole day was just awesome! Of course I felt sorry for Nan and Kat, and was pulling for the O's, but overall, the atmosphere and the ballgame were excellent. Quite an experience.
Yes, I pretty much mentioned every song that came on, including Dire Straits' Money For Nothing.(I pointed out to Nan that Mark Knopfler was born in Glasgow:D), and Thank God I'm Country Boy. Some great songs! And the fireworks display afterwards was pretty cool. I loved it, just the whole ballgame experience.

Dan, I didn't know you were going to an O's game. Isn't the area around Camden Yards nice?
Wait 'til you go to Yankee Stadium tomorrow! It's amazing and it is always so much fun to be there.

Willie, your general knowledge never fails to astound. While Mark Knopfler was born in Glasgow, he did actually spend most of his childhood in Newcastle. Nicely spotted!
Deanna, Camden Yards was awesome. I loved the area around the park, with all the food, the home runs marked on the ground, and the Orioles Hall of Fame and all that stuff. Fantastic!:D

It was very cool. I love Camden Yards.
Interesting fact. I noticed at one time that Sparky was taking something from his mouth and putting it in his back pocket...... (KC was up to bat and the O's were in the field.) I thought, "Did he just use an inhaler?" Sure enough, I saw him do it 4 more times during the game, and watched through the binoculars, and it was definitely an inhaler!
Sparky has asthma, and he's out there playing ball!!! What a trouper!!!
Sorry we lost, but I love Camden Yards, and it's always fun to see these guys up close.
And thanks for the play-by-play, Wills!!!

hmmm i dont think it is an inhaler...i went to a game about a week ago, and i noticed him doing that...i was really close to him,but i also used my binoculars...and i saw that it was sunflower seeds.....he did it a couple more times, and after each time he would chew...so it couldnt have been an inhaler
