Rumors are out that Marshall Faulk may retire before camp starts. Source: KTRS 550 AM

John Hadley of KTRS 550 AM announced today that he has "two sources" inside the Ram organization that "can't guarentee that RB Marshall Faulk will play in 2004". I normally don't post rumors, but this is too big to ignore. Steven Jackson's stock will skyrocket, if Faulk retires.

This rumor is not going away. This will be interesting to follow. Make darn sure that if you acquire Faulk for your team that you grab Jackson (not that you didn't already know that)

Let's add that Eddie George signing with Dallas to this thread. Parcells has a track record of getting a lot out of older RB's - remember OJ Anderson in NY? He scored double digit touchdowns, in a grinding offense. Even if he doesn't get the yardage, I expect Eddie to score more TDs that he has the last couple of years

i agree. parcells seems to be able to do a lot with young, and olf players alike. he really is a great coach. eddie george brings a lot of experience to this team. they're gonna be tough to beat this year

Eddie George sort of makes the Cowboys complete, because its obvious that they were missing an elite back last year, he's still overrated but he seems ready for a big season in Dallas.

Tennessee Titans/Dallas Cowboys

Eddie George to the Cowboys: Does he have anything left? He should score seven or eight touchdowns, minimum, but it is doubtful that he will put up a tremendous rushing yardage total.

Julius Jones: Parcells is still high on Jones, figure Jones for approximately 500-600 rushing yards, six rushing touchdowns, and he can catch the ball, so 25-30 receptions.

Antowain Smith: The Titans signed Smith to fill George’s slot Smith is nothing more than a three-yard-per-carry back who does not catch the ball well.

Chris Brown: Brown appears to be the big winner in this week’s running back shuffle. Keep a close eye on training camp and preseason games. He could post 800-1000 rushing yards, 6 rushing touchdowns, 35 receptions, and approximately 300 receiving yards - if he wins the starting job.
