ok, even though i love my diamondbacks, i aint holdin anything back in saying that we suck this year. thats why this month and the months and possible years after that, there will be a fire sale and a rebulding process. this, of course starts with randy johnson possibly waiving his no trade clause to go to another team. on friday night, randy went after gonzo in the dugout after gonzo missed a catch, and they both got into a shouting match. this is my opinion, but it could have just as easily been tracy, cintron, hairston, alomar, or hillenbrand that could have gotten into it with unit. it just so happened that gonzo had missed the catch in that inning, and randy made gonzo the scapegoat. im not saying that gonzo is innocent, because he dropped an easy fly ball that he could have caught. im saying that for as long as i can remember, randy has wanted a win in his win column. not in the teams win column, his win column.

anybody remember that 2002 season where schilling was dominating all year, and randy was trailing him in the cy young race, and then randy wailed off those 8 straight wins to clinch it. the start after that just so happened to be randy's game 1 start in the NLDS against the cardinals, and he got clobbered. what it sounded like to me was that randy didnt care about the team, he cared about his own personal stats, and he just decided before game 1 that, well, i have already clinched the cy young, theres no way i can lose with 24 wins. so he shut it down, and that clobbering was the beginning of a three game sweep.

anybody from seattle remember that before randy got traded, he got into a clubhouse spat with david segui(what happened to that guy?), and a couple weeks after he got traded to the astros. i know he is intense, but god, he doesnt need to be that uptight all the time. anyway, i say he ends up in anaheim for eckstein and kennedy, or texas for young and texiera. ok, im out.

I thought the Angels might be a place he goes but I just dont know if they will trade him yet. I dont know but I think the he is the only reason the fans will come and watch this team. That is just me I dont know but if he keeps going after teammates something will have to be done.

Sadly, RJ will be a Yank. It's what he wants, and no one else can afford him. :(

Outside chance he stays in az though.

First off PP I know money talks. But I dont see how getting money for RJ would make the snakes better. This is a team that needs good young talent. And that is something the Yanks dont have. I could see it if they trade Jeter for him but I just dont see the Yanks getting him just because they dont have the players in the minors that are ready to come up anytime soon. So I just dont see him going to the Yanks.

I could see the Marlins, Angles, even the Sox because you guys have a couple of guys that might be ready soon before the Yanks.

The Skanks don't need minor league talent. They'll pull a 3 way deal. They'll take someone off their major league roster, like Matsui, and get the prospects to send to AZ.

Bet ya $20, RJ will be a Yank shortly.

The skanks definately wont trade Jeter because he is a great young player and they wouldnt risk trading him for some guy who might only last one more season. The whole purpose of this trade is to make cap room. They might trade Tony Clark or someone not quite as talented.

I say the Yankees trade Giambi and Felix Heredia, Giambi is just not playing what he was supposed to be worth to the yanks, and Tony Clark is doing a great job filling in for Giambi... they could also trade Enrique Wilson or something  this would be such a complex trade if RJ goes to the yankees...

Guys, please. Arizona is not taking on Giambi the Stiff's salary for RJ.

It's insane to think that Johnson is going to the Yanks. Arizona wants prospects! That means MINOR LEAGUERS! Yanks have no minors! I don't know what have any minors that they are willing to dip into to get talent in a trade. In Sporting News Ken Rosenthal was talking about most lilkey the Cubs being able to trade for the Big Unit.
I still don't see the Unit being traded.

If Prior's elbow is really bad, the cubbies could well become a player in this.

Hope he doesn't come to either NY team. He has made it clear that the only NY team he is interested in is the Y-word. There is nothing worse then a wanna-be Yank on the Mets.

Go anywhere else, RJ.

Or on any team. I always liked RJ, but if that is true, screw him.

Sorry Vin. :(

I think Texas may acquire him for a serious run at the postseason. They should be serious about trying to get him because even though Texas is winning, their pitching besides "The Gambler" sucks. They are winning because of the bullpen, and thats great, but in order to get to the postseason, they need more pitching on the starting front, because Kenny Rogers cant start every game. I can see Texiera and Laird in Arizona. They are young guys who are very good, and thats what Az wants out of this deal. Young guys who are good. Dont be surprised if Texas shows up as a major player in this deal before long.

To the Yankees for Giambi and Heredia? Please. Az doesnt need Giambi, they already have a first baseman. Remember Richie Sexson? Sure he is injured, but if he resigns, we have someone to build around. Plus, Heredia sucks. I want in this bet too!

Heredia sucks and Giambi is on a quick decline. I think Texeria is a possibility espically if Sexson dosent resign. I still hate Sexson so I wouldn't mind to see him leave after this year. I still don't see the Unit goin.

I heard and they could do it also is that the Cards are playing for RJ now. And they have the minors to do it. Heard it yesterday on Fox sports that they are starting to get some big time talk for it.

But Vin I think you are right I just dont see a Yanks trade going down because they have no minors.
