skippy
07-18-2004, 03:00 PM

milky_way
07-18-2004, 03:11 PM
Haha Marcus Thames. He'll always be the dude that hit a grand slam off of Randy Johnson in his first big league at-bat to me.

That was one of the best trades we've made recently

skippy

I thought in the beginning Lieber was getting his pitches way too high up..

look here:

http://www.addictsports.com/baseball/attachment.php?attachmentid=2152 was the basic areas his pitches were in the beginning of the game... after that he settled down... sort of

Whoo I see it!

Liebs and Javy have been having trouble in the early innings for the past month :(. I heard Liebs doesn't like to warm up a lot before the game because he's afraid he'll get tired too early. His arm strength still isn't there yet :(. I don't know what the heck is up with Javy

one bad start, javy will pitch well his next start... :wave1:

lieber was good for a while.... I think flahrety was a bit confused as to what lieber had at the beginning, either that or bad communication

skippy
07-18-2004, 05:46 PM
You also have to remember stuff about this ballpark, 3 doubles were hit 420+ feet, in Yankee stadium, if we did that, we would have won this game 6-4 or 7-4

milky_way
07-18-2004, 05:56 PM
Detroit also had some long shots that might have gone for homers if the game was in Yankee Stadium...

I'm a little concerned about Liebs since it seems like he gives up a couple runs in the first few innings every start . Then he settles down, but the damage is already done.

yeah, the only reason he has a winning record is because when that damage is done, yankee offense usually makes up for it, not in this game though...

Dear Lord! You guys have seven pages of posts from today's game.

For some weird reason, my radio picks up WCBS now and I was actually able to listen to the game this afternoon. Isn't that crazy? I have no idea how we can get that station down here in Maryland. :notme:
