I'm happy about this deal. Rauch was not in the Sox' plans for the present or the future. Williams is in love with Everett and I don't blame him based on what Everett did for us last year. Yeah, he has been hurt but all indications are that he is fully healthy now and without Thomas, the Sox needed someone.

And somehow KW got Montreal to pay his salary for the rest of the year.

Here's an idea though...with Everett having a player option that he will likely pick up because his stats at the end of the year probably will not be good enough to earn him a raise anywhere, is this a safety net in case Magglio does not re-sign?

Thats what I expected, yet according to MLB.com, Magglio is starting in RF tonight  Let Carl play out there a few days, give Magglio a little bit more rest

Through 8 innings, the White Sox have 17 hits in the game. That's 3 fewer than they got the entire 4 games in Oakland over the weekend.
