I think I am the only D-Back fan on this site. Well, its ok. Even more bad news out of the Az camp. I just had more salt poured into the wound because Gonzo may shut it down in a couple days. Shut it down in ending his season. He hasnt been Gonzo this season because of his elbow, and news reports down here are saying that he may elect to have elbow surgery earlier than expected. He was supposed to have it after this season, but he has been saying that it is hurting him even worse now, and he may just have it in late July or early August. I went to the game yesterday and left after the 8th inning(to beat the traffic). I would have left earlier had i not known that Mike Fetters would make his triumphant return to the mound. Sure he gave up a home run, but that's expected. Geez, he's part of the Arizona bullpen, what else did you expect? God I love that thing he does when he is about to pitch. The head bob thing. That is awesome. Well, anyway, I dont have any pics because I didnt bring a camera, but next time I go I will bring one so I can post pics on the site.
Theres also a radio promotion going on down here in Phoenix called the 5 grand slam. If the Diamondbacks win 5 games in a row and someone correctly picks the 5 games they win, they win 5,000 dollars. Thats a lot of cheddar, yo. Although I dont think they will win 5 in a row anytime soon. Ok, Im out.

My friend and I were watching the game on ESPN yesterday. We both said the same thing....sad, just sad! Gonzo is shutting it down eh? Guess it is for the better. The team dosent look like they be contending any time soon. :-|

Well I must say I am not a snakes fan but they are my 3rd fav in the div!!! ;)
Hey but for Gonzo to bad for this guy. But I think he should shut it down right now. The snakes are out of it and done for this year. He needs to get fixed up and come back strong next year. Gonzo is a great player and no matter how much you dislike a team you got to love how this guy works and the % he gives every night. He plays the game right and is a great player!!!!
Hope he shuts it down and comes back strong next year so we can see a Gonzo that is 100% next year!!!!

Luis Gonzalez
Luis Gonzalez has opted to undergo season-ending Tommy John surgery in early August. He's played all season with a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. D'Backs head trainer Paul Lessard said it was possible for position players to recover from the surgery in four-to-six months, compared to 12-to-16 months for pitchers.

I am so sorry for the D-Backs and their fans this year. I am an Atlanta Braves fan but I also like the D-Backs. I liked their team coming out of Spring Training this season, with Alomar, Gonzo, Sexson, Cintron, Bautista, Finley, Baerga, and Hillenbrand hitting, I thought they'd for sure give a big run. But injury after injury every damn day. I don't think Arizona should trade away much, you know with Sexson back next year they will become a possible contender again and should've been this year. Well, if they trade away Johnson, they are going to suck for quite a few years. Plus, I am glad Gonzo is shutting it down for the season, atleast he'll be back ready for next season when Arizona needs him, now Arizona can try out a few more rookies.
