Looks like a trade will open up a roster spot for Wright, and Kris benson is a good gamble

I hear Kris benson is clubhouse poison, but then I've heard that he wants to be a Met. So maybe he just hates being a Pirate.

From that article, it sounds as though Wigginton is mad. The media tends to spin things, but he needs to grow up. With David Wright and Piazza, there is no future for him here--haven't they explained to him? And maybe he should have played consistently ALL year and not just when his *ss was on the line to be traded. And his fielding sucks.

Now you all know my real feelings toward Wigginton. I say trade him (I know I'm in the minority, but I really can't stand the guy)

I don't think Benson is good enough to come into the met clubhouse and act the way he supposedly does or did in the pirates clubhouse, I think he would come in and shut his mouth and hope Rick Peterson can help him out

Yea also on wiggy he did sound like he was pissed ,he knew this move was comming from day one
His fielding is awful and up until today i didn't know he was the worst fielding 3b in terms of fielding percentage, plus he has no range

another thing Vance wilson made a remark about wright when wiggy made a good play last week, he said something like Wright would have never made that play......please vance shut your mouth about that and lack of playing time

ok looks like we both want wiggy gone, let the David Wright era begin

Wiggy looked better at first in 2 games than he has at 3rd.

But we've needed his bat lately, what with Piazza slumping (and now possibly on the DL), and he's produced.

Benson's wife, while she's gorgeous, apparently also suffers from the same affliction that Brenda Warner does -- an apparent insatiable need to air her opinions on local radio shows. An affliction that has not endeared her to the rest of the Pirates.
