We lost again, what a freakin surprise. But what really pissed me off was that after Randy threw a terrible two innings, he threw great afterwards, and what do the D-Backs give him? Jack s**t, thats what. We have the worst offense in the National League, and we have the worst team in baseball. We threatened with 1st and 3rd in the 8th, and what happens? Hillenbrand bounces into an inning ending double play, killing our chance to tie. In the 9th, we load the bases for Alomar, who just so happens to have a .387 career average with the bases loaded, and what does he do? He ends the game with a double play that he could have ran out. It just pisses me off how horrible we are. Hillenbrand has a .440 average in July, second in the Majors behind Bonds when we dont walk him, and he has only 8 RBI to show for it. I dont think Sexson's gonna resign, hes going with the Giants. Could you imagine the protection Bonds has if Sexson bats behind him? It would be just insane.
But anyway, there were a couple of bright spots last night, and they were part of the relief corps.One of them was Mike Fetters. Fetters gave up a double to Bonds, but it wasnt his fault, cause anything Bonds gets a hold of hes gonna mash, but he has great enthusiasm for the game and for his team, and I respect that. Plus, I love the head turn before he makes the pitch. Its freakin classic. Herges tried to copy it, but he cant, because only Fetters and Grace do it well. The other bright spot was a kid named Greg Aquino. This kid throws flames. 96-98 MPH, and he follows it up with a hard, 12-6 curveball. Nasty stuff. He is our future closer if Joe Jr doesnt trade him. Im out.
