Here we are with a worst vs. first in the AL East. The Yankees are builidng quite the lead over the Sox and the only thing the Jays can do at this point of the season is play some sort of spoiler. I think the Jays might get a bit of motivation out of David Bush's almost no-hitter, and I honestly think this might be a good series for us.
Pat Hengten (2-8, 6.26) vs. Javier Vazquez (10-6, 4.02) Hengten steps back into the rotation because ace Roy Halladay was placed on the DL with a tired shoulder. He will have to do a lot of work to turn it around as he faces a solid Yankee pitcher in Javier Vazquez, the former Expo
Ted Lilly (7-7, 4.28) vs. Orlando Hernandez (2-0, 4.50) I will not underestimate what El Duque is capable of. Lilly has been our best player this year, hopefully he can continue against his fomer team.
Another short two gamer and then it is off to face Tampa on Friday.

Damnation I forgot to report that we got clobbered by the Yanks yesterday. Hengten officially sucks.
And as for todays game, we got the first two runners on, and 1 in socring poisition with none out, and we cant do shit. It's strikeout after strikeout then groundout God Sarnit.

Bah Lilly. No-hitting us through 4.0
What the heck is up with these two-game series? I don't remember two in a row like this before...

Never mind, Gameday has deceived me. Sierra breaks up the no-no in the fourth.

Ruben Sierra broke up the no-hitter :(
I was hoping for one after what happened with David Bush
I hate these two game series too, and it really annoys me when I make these game preview thingy's.

the Jays offense needs to get going to, because I dont want to face the Yankee bullpen when Duque gets tired. But I'm sure the Yanks wouldnt mind to face our bullpen.

And the ping off the bat never helps either.
This is starting to look like the A's game the other day. The Jays bullpen will give it up when it comes down to Speier or Adams

I'm waiting for the day that the Jays offense and the Jays pitching unites and both units have a solid game rather then one or the other.

And here comes Adams, Yankees win

Adams did the job, now Gordon is in for the Yanks, and hes lights out, so yeah Yankees will still probably win

Hey Chulk is in, I take back that statement. Hopefully the Jays can get some runs when Chulk and Frasor pitch.

It would be nice if the bullpen isn't taxed for the Boston series :(

Alright Chulk did the job, now the heart of the order comes up (Cat, Wells, and Delgado) Hopefully they can get something done for Frasor.

K n/m Mo was brought in and only gave up a hit to Delgado (its about damn time Carlos) but that was all. I'm assuming Frasor comes in rather then keeping Chulk in.
