Top of the 4th, 9-2 Yankees!

Sheff had a 3-run homer.

Jeter's not in the lineup, though. :( Wilson's filling in for him at SS.

I want to slap Javy

But I kinda feel sorry for him since he sounds so lost :(. Isn't it Mel's job to make sure Javy doesn't "have no clue" (double negative there) why he's pitching poorly? Isn't that the entire purpose of a pitching coach?

Oh, and Sheff is my man

He's making me mad at A-Rod and Giambi for making him carry the team for so long

I want to slap Javy
He had a rough 3rd inning, but got out of it without too much damage.

Enrique Wilson homers! 10-2 Yanks.

His line looks decent, but he's putting on a lot of baserunners. That's not Javy :(. It would be comforting if he said it was a mechanical problem or something tangible, but he has no idea what's wrong. I guess Brown's mysterious sucking in May has got me paranoid

Fricken MLB Gameday missed his entire at-bat (haha, although it was all of one pitch) :hmm:

Did I say I love Sheff?

SECOND TIME THIS GAME!

"LINED TO DEEP RIGHT! But it's gonna go foul"

This announcer is killing me :hmm:

Did I say I love Sheff?
Sheff's da man! :fro:

I'm so frustrated with Giambi. I just wish he would start hitting the damn ball! :bonehead Tony Clark's been doing so much better.

And I'm still waiting for A-Rod's B.A. to reach .300. :wait:

It made me wonder what's up with Sheffield and his bad shoulder?
Seems like he's hitting better with his bad shoulder LOL

Mel S will work on Vazquez pretty hard during off season to make sure he is not a "lost in space" pitcher. :hmm:

Dark_Angel
07-21-2004, 10:11 PM
If this is how Sheff hits when he's got a bum shoulder, I can't imagine what he'll be like when it's okay! :D

The offseason is too far away! I wish Mel would fix him soon...

This always seems to be a problem with the Yanks. Young pitchers come here and don't improve :notme:. Hopefully Javy will be an exception. If he doesn't improve with the stuff he has, something is really messed up with the Yanks coaching staff.

Aaaaaaaah it's so frustrating to watch him struggle :(

Catalanotto doubles. :( 10-3 Yanks.

What the hell...c'mon Padilla...

renuszm
07-21-2004, 10:46 PM
And when did Pat Hengten win final four? I hear Montross is a Cy Young contender this year so that beats out all Pat accomplished.

Dark_Angel

Here comes Q...

School doesn't start here until the second week of September (usually the day after Labor Day) and the year ends towards the end of May.

I'm taking AP English so they always give summer homework :(

I'm on a modified schedule, so we get short summers and other breaks (a 1-week break in October, a 3-week winter break, a 2-week spring break). I like it, but the summer really is short :(

renuszm

BTW, jeter has a nondisplaced fracture of the right wrist. he's day to day and wont be on the DL.

Doesn't Derek look miserable in this photo?

http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/images/2004/07/21/ttPKE9cn.jpg

I know how he hates it when he can't play. :(

At least he won't go on the DL. Torre expects him to be back in the lineup on Friday in Boston.

milky_way
07-22-2004, 04:18 AM
Is anyone else a little freaked? They're saying not to get alarmed, but I always though fractures were serious stuff...http://instagiber.net/smiliesdotcom/cwm/cwm/erm.gif.

It would absolutely SUCK if Jete's swing gets messed up because of this and he joins Giambi and the rest in Slumpland. He and Sheff have been carrying the team offensively since June. And both will be playing in pain :(.

The Yanks have got to start retaliating when our hitters are getting decked. Javy finally did today, although he was wild that inning so it may not have been intentional. It's kind of funny the way Sheffield has been doing the retaliation by hitting homeruns, first the one off Baez and then the one that followed the Jeter plunk :evillol

Kiwideus

Damn, Its freaky to see Jeter play with fractured wrist! He is stubborn like a ol' donkey ass!
