Ricardo Rodriguez Out for the Season

In the 4th inningof the game against Anaheim this afternoon,Rangers P Ricardo rodriguez was struck in the right elbow with a line drive off the bat of Anaheim's Robb Quinlan.

He was taken to the hospital where x-rays revealed that he has a fracture in his right elbow.

He had a pin inserted yesterday into a clean break the doctors said. He is not going to get a cast, so as to not lose his range of motion. They say 10-12 weeks and he will be throwing agian. In time for winter ball I guess??

Man this is a guy we couldn't lose. He was pitching great in his first 4 games. He is the one that shut out the Yanks in Yankee stadium. Tough loss for the pitching staff. We will regroup though!!
