The spot would have gone to Sturtze, but the right-hander is headed to New York on Tuesday to have an MRI taken on his bruised right pinkie finger. Sturtze injured the finger during the fight on Saturday, as he had to leave the game after three innings.

I can't seem to reason why the Yanks would do something that would risk taking him out of his element when there are other options. I'm so confused :notme:

well hey, mike mussina pitched on 3 days rest before all star break, and he toyed with the tigers the first 4 innings, but due to stupidity, he didn't listen to a pitch posada called for and gave up a huge home run... he said it himself... :bonehead


but hell, mike mussina is a ton more consistent than contreras (and yes, that's including the DL visits :evillol)

who knows how he'll do, that's the exciting (and annoying) thing about contreras, he's unpredictable.
