For the 2 or 3 years I have been the Moderator at this forum I don't think I have ever had a real Diamondbacks fan here. I don't think I have ever had any real traffic in here. People who have been postin here latley got to thank you guys. Now I know I'm not alone!

So, there aren't any D-Back fans here?

Bummer. I wanted to talk to at least one. Something 'Zilla said over in our forum caused me to come to the conclusion that I want to meet fans of the the teams we're playing and get to know them a little and find out how they got to be fans and stuff. I guess I wait for the weekend and go over to the Reds forum.

I am a D-Backs fan. I have been since they became a franchise. When they won it all in 2001 i was absolutely thrilled. I have yet to be happier in my entire life.

Okay, you're who I'm looking for. How long have you been a baseball fan? Did you have another team before the D-Backs? Are you a fan because they're close to where you live?

'Zilla was talking about how, during the off-season, everyone expects great things from their team and that's what makes us fans, regardless of the team we root for. What were your expectations for the team before the season started and what are they now?

I have been a fan since 1995, when baseball was just coming back from the strike. I had another team before AZ, and they were the Cleveland Indians. Yes, I am a fan because they are close to where I live; a funny thing is that if my mom ever mentions moving to another state, I complain that there are no sports teams in that state, so I cant go without my sports in any state.

As for expectations, yes, they were relatively high before the season, but judging by the way they are playing now, they arent high anymore.

I've been a D'backs fan since day one. This season and to some extent last season are a test of our mettle. We've been rather fortunate as a team to find success so quickly...this season will weed out the fairweather D'backs fans.
