In one of the ugliest games of the year, the Sox were swept by the Minnesota Twins 5-4 in 10 innings, losing 4 straight and more importantly, falling 3 1/2 games back of the Twins in the Central.

The key to this one was in the 7th inning for the White Sox,as they put the first 6 batters aboard in the inning. All of that work only to score 1 lousy run to tie the game.

Bad baserunning took them out of the inning,as jose Valentin was thrown out trying to steal 3rd on a bunt attempt by Joe Crede, then Juan Uribe was thrown out trying to teal 2nd.The Sox ended up leaving the bsaes loaded.

Valentin's dropped fly ball in foul territory in the 10th gave Jacque Jonews new life, and Jones promnptly took advantage with a single off Shingo Takaktsu for the eventual victory.

Now the Sox have to play catch-up,starting Thursday night in Detroit when the Sox start a 4-game set in the Motor City.
