Kenny Lofton

I don't understand why the Yankees don't use him very much, he's a great player who is always doing something to the other team. He can run, he can hit, he can play solid defense. Why doesn't he get to start in centerfield more? This guy has done well everywhere he's want and last I saw he's not slumping, so why aren't the Yankees using this guy more? Bernie Williams could be the DH.

Well Lofton doens't play much vs. lefties because he can't hit them. So Bernie's usually in CF on those days.

Recently he's been playing a lot. I love him offensively, but he's made some bad errors on defense. I don't think he and Matsui don't communicate very well. That said, Bernie's getting slower and slower and his arm is still a noodle so I prefer Kenny out there.

Earlier in the season Bernie was forced to play CF and Kenny was forced to the bench because Giambi needed to DH. But now that really isn't a problem, and thus Kenny's been playing more.
