Starting sunday they are taking away MSG and FSNY in some areas so the Mets will not be seen by many Time warner customers.
They are almost doing us a favor by saving us from watching this team go down faster than Anna Benson after a Kris Benson start

That sucks!
I heard it was the same with Cablevison.
I thought Time Warner was making them premium channels.
I'm going to go see if I can find the article from the NY Post.

I only read the commericals they kept flashing on the screen on some channels saying they would not be broadcasting any MSG or FSNY programming
Don't know the specifics so if you can find the article please post it

Well it's official I have no MSG or FSNY
The fact that the mets are in a tailspin and playing awful baseball can't really help the people wanting to put the mets on the air
Have to imagine the demand to watch them is pretty low
As for me I much rather listen on the radio because I despise Fran Healy and his can of corn. It's like someone said "Baseball is the only game that can be seen on the radio"
When the team is this bad it's not really much fun to watch them everyday, in my opinion anyway,so having them on weekends only should make them less irritating

It's ONLY Time Warner. Cablevision and satellite subscribers are not affected.
And Luis, if you're really a fan, you'd be willing to watch all the sucky weekday games as well as the sucky weekend games on Channel 11.

If I wasn't a fan I wouldn't feel so much hatred and pain from their failure, I almost wish I was a bandwagon fan who could jump off and act as if the team doesn't exist
but I am a glutant for punishment i'll still watch the weekend games and listen to every game on the radio, but now that they aren't on tv I guess I can multitask and get some productive things done at the same time while listening
Thanks god for Gary Cohen, Fran Healy drives me nuts

I've called Time-Warner cable to complain.
They seem to be logging the calls. (like, let's see how many people are bothered by this disruption) so, I'm suggesting that everyone call to complain. At least they'll know we care. 718-358-0900
Time-Warner cable will tell you about the $2.00 credit, and then tell you they're still negotiating, but they'll also tell you to call Cablevision, because it's their fault! I haven't gotten thru to Cablevision, but here's their number......718-617-3500

Cyn, if Nanner lives in Manhattan (which I know she does), her choices are limited. Some larger buildings had RCN for a while, but I know that company had problems and I don't know what (if any) services they are offering now.
So, unless she has a dish (and the chances of that are slim), she most likely has Time Warner...just like me. Meaning she has no MSG or FSNY...just like me.
I'm OK with it because I spent summers during my childhood without any television at all, and I never even had cable until 1992. So I'm more than happy with the radio.

Hate to break it to you, but dTV is Time Warner's digital cable. I have it too.
I've been abroad. What happened now that the day has passed?

Nobody who has Time Warner has either MSG, FSNY or Metro.
I think it was very appropriate that the day Bob Murphy died is the day large numbers of Mets fans were forced to listen to the radio for their Mets fix.
The next watchable games are Saturday (Fox 5) and Sunday (channel 11). Even though Sunday is a "free" game, I'm probably going to be in a bar watching it with a friend. We're going to the Queens Museum to see the Mets exhibit, and then to lunch afterwards.
