In all seriousness, Cabrera can probably do that. WTF did we really lose? A clubhouse nightmare?

You know Jacqui, you might be more right about the clubhouse cancer than you know. It's amazing how controversy seems to paralyze some teams. Manny seemed to rise above it all (imagine that) but Nomar really didn't. I don't think Cabrera will be Nomar but he might be fairly similar to Tejeda in OPS numbers once he gets to a hitter's park and a hitter's lineup on a team that actually matters.

Look, it is well known that Nomah's teammates weren't fond of him. He had turned into a HUGE brat. He did Shit for us so far this year. Be interesting to see how he does the rest of this year.
Again, I'm glad he's gone, I just think we didn't get enough for him.

It is very interesting that you mention it like that..datch. Being a cubs fan I am glad we got him. I would have actually like to gotten Cabrera personally due to the signing next year. He has the possibiltiy to be the next Tejada (barzilla is right). Don't be surprised if Cubs and Sox meet this October. Baseball has a tendency to play like that. At least one curse would be over then. I actually don't believe in the stupid curses, just bad vibes and that is what happened to both teams last year. I think if both teams can just make it to the dance, we will be meeting up. Talk about a great push for MLB.

I think it would be the most watched world series ever, certainly. it would do wonders for MLB to have the sox and the cubs in the series. not to mention all the sub plots that would be going on around it.
and I dont really believe in curses either, but you have to wonder why, you know? 86 years for the sox, and I dont know how many more for the cubbies. ultimately, you just start feeling sorry for the fans, and the players who fhave to suffer through all of these heartbreaks. and if the teams do make it to the playoffs, the cubs have a better chance than the sox to get to the series i think. unless our pitching starts to pick up

i respect dusty baker for the way he handles his players. I really believe he would kick the shit out of nomar if he acted up. i love managers like that...luo pinella is a prime example.

They get rid of Nomar before he becomes free agent after this season to save them some money? :notme:
