I've been wondering what other fans think about our announcers.

Thom Brennamen (sp?) Good voice, good sense of humor. All around a good announcer I think.

Mark Grace: My all time favorite player, in part for his personality. That personality has found a great new home in the booth, and I hope he stays. He's great up there, has a lot of experience for analysis plus he's always good for a dumb, yet funny joke.

The Gubnah: Great voice, good insight, again, I like him. I think he does a good job on the radio and on TV.

Jeff Munn: Can't stand him. Bad voice, and seems like a high schooler calling a regional game or something.

Garigiola: Don't get me started...holy CRAP I wish he would just go away.

I like Grace in the booth. He brings a great sense of humor up there.I think Grace has a great future in the booth.

I have no problem with Thom Brennaman. I think he's a solid announcer.

I love the progression from bad to horrible. Since I live in NY I never get to see any of their games unless they are on ESPN but I HATE WITH THE PASSION OF A THOUSAND SUNS! THE ANNOUNCERS OF ESPN

The ESPN announcers have no feeling while the game is going on. I think that's why local announcers are tops. Jack Corrigan in Denver has a lot of gusto for his team. And always Chip and Steve on WGN.

(thought I wouldn't mention it)

You say Jack Corrigan and now I have to make a comment. I loved Wayan Hagan when he was with the Rox. I thought he was the best I have ever heard until I got to hear home town boy call a game Kurt Gowdy but I always liked Wayan. But when Wayan left I didnt really like Jack but he has grew on me a lot and now I like him quite a bit.

But yes local announcers are the best because they can show they like there team. I dont think there is a worse guy than Joe Morgan. He is a idiot.

I always like the unconfortable silence between Morgan and the fat dude who works with him. The other guy says somthing that is soupposed to be a question and Joe is like :-| yup....

The fat dude as you call him I like (John Miller is his name) But Joe Morgan is not a good guy in the booth.

I like Schulte, he rules. That other guy in the radio booth is good, too. But where is Rod Allen. I liked him. Brennaman is good, never one to lay off when the team makes a mistake. Grace is the man. But, im starting to grow old of Garagiolas, "In my day" stories. Shut up and call the game. Another person who I cant stand is Tim Mccarver. God, he is so annoying. His mouth goes a mile a minute.

Another person who I dont like is Skip Caray. I fall asleep just listening to the guy. Don Sutton keeps me awake though.

I cant wait for football season to start so I can listen to the sweet sounds of Dave Pasch and John Mistler. Theyre the only good things about the Cardinals.

Do you remember Jim Traber, or "Jimmy T"? He was similar in humor to Grace, only more oafish. He was alright, sometimes tiresome, but all in all I liked him. On a funny note, when I was going through my baseball cards from when I was a kid, I found a Jim Traber rookies. I'm sure that's worth about a nickel. lol.

I"m glad you like! Most people don't get the avatar or the screen name.

It's funny now when they refer to Papa Grande...they always make sure to put the emphasis correctly. lol.
