Minor Leagues | Barker delivers for Reading; Howard sparks Barons

AKRON, Ohio - Kevin Barker hit an RBI double and drew a bases-loaded walk to lead the Reading Phillies to a 6-2 victory over the Akron Aeros yesterday in the Eastern League.
Barker's double sparked a three-run fourth inning to give the Phillies the lead, and they never trailed. He extended his hitting streak to 16 games.
Scranton 9, Richmond 0
RICHMOND, Va. - Ed Yarnall and Dan Giese combined on a three-hitter and Ryan Howard knocked in three runs as the Red Barons beat the Braves in the International League, Richmond's seventh loss in its last nine games.
Wilmington 7, Kinston 3
WILMINGTON - Damaso Espino's three-run double with the bases loaded capped a four-run rally in the bottom of the seventh inning that propelled the Blue Rocks to a win over the Indians in the Carolina League.
Norwich 6, Trenton 2
TRENTON - Chris Curry's two-run homer in the fourth inning propelled the Navigators past the Thunder in the Eastern League.
Rainouts.The Atlantic City Surf's home game against the Nashua Pride in the Atlantic League will be made up as part of a doubleheader at 11:05 this morning. Both games will be seven innings. The Camden Riversharks home game against the Pennsylvania Road Warriors was canceled.
No-hitter. Charlotte Knights pitcher Tetsu Yofu threw a no-hitter in a 5-0 victory over the Durham Bulls in an International League game.
