Minor Leagues | Atlantic City settles for split; Reading loses to Harrisburg

ATLANTIC CITY - The Atlantic City Surf split an Atlantic League doubleheader against the Nashua Pride yesterday, winning the opener, 4-2, and losing the second game, 3-2.
In the first game, a solo homer by Dario Delgado of the Surf tied the score, 2-2, in the bottom of the seventh.
Raul Marval hit a walk-off two-run homer to win the game in the eighth.
Reliever Alberto Castillo recorded the win for Atlantic City, getting the one batter he faced to ground out.
In the second game, the Pride got solo homers from Kevin Haverbusch and Dante Bichette.
Harrisburg 7, Reading 5
HARRISBURG - Juan Camilo's RBI double in the fifth inning and Jason Belcher's sacrifice fly gave the Senators a 6-3 lead over the Phillies in the fifth inning en route to an Eastern League triumph.
Alejandro Machado, who recorded three RBIs, had a two-run single in the third inning to give Harrisburg a 4-0 lead.
Kevin Barker's double for Reading in the ninth inning extended his hitting streak to 17 games. Russ Jacobson homered for the Phillies.
Reading pitchers walked seven batters and hit another.
Frederick 6, Wilmington 2
FREDERICK, Md. - The Keys used a four-run attack in the fourth inning for a 6-1 lead on their way to defeating the Blue Rocks in the Carolina League.
The fourth-inning rally began with Woody Cliffords' two-run single with the bases loaded.
An RBI single by Branden Florence drove home the third run of the inning. Cliffords scored the final run from third base during a double play.
Bernard Stephens accounted for Wilmington's two runs with a single in the second inning and a sacrifice fly in the eighth.
Rainouts
Yesterday's game between the Scranton Red Barons and Richmond Braves in the International League in Richmond, Va., was rained out. It will be made up at 6 tonight as part of a doubleheader.
The Eastern League game between the Trenton Thunder and the Binghamton Mets at Trenton was postponed due to standing water in the outfield. It was rescheduled for a doubleheader today, beginning at 12:05 p.m.
In other Thunder news, righthander Justin Pope of the double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, was named the Eastern League's pitcher of the week.
