After all the good feelings around after Jose Contreras' successful debut last night, reality has finally settled in.
Scott Schoenweis is getting torched tonight. The Royals scored 7 in the 1st inning and are leading the White Sox 9-0 in the 3rd.
I'll be watching "The Simple Life" now.

You know, sometimes you just have to tip your cap to the opposing pitcher.
Brian Anderson definately had no-hit stuff tonight as the Royals ripped the White Sox a new one 11-0 tonight.
Anderson only gave up 2 hits, retiring 16 in a row at one point.

Not only has the Sox offense shut down in Kansas City, but the power just went out at Kaufmann Stadium. If and when play resumes, the Sox should be put out of their misery as they are getting smoked 6-1.

its kinda hard to win a lot games or have consistency when your two best hitters are done until september at the earliest.

True, but we also need guys like Crede,Harris,Uribe, and oh did I mention Crede to get their acts together offensively.Lee,Konerko, and Rowand can't do it all by themselves, like they did in July.
I would like to see some consistensy from Garland and Schoenweis(That's if Schoenweis is still around) if the Sox are going anywhere.

Here's what you had for tonight's lineup and thier OBP;
Ben Davis .229 OBP
Joe Borchard .238
Joe Crede .289
Jose Valentin .295
Timo Perez .302
You can also throw in Sandy Alomar's .298 OBP
Those numbers are going to get you to the golf course come October.

We,ve now dropped 2 of 3 in Kansas City. Now we come home for a 4-game set vs. Cleveland.
I also heard Hawk Harrelson mention that Scott Schoenweis has been scratched from his next scheduled start on Sunday. He didn't elaborate why.

Schoenweis may be headed for the DL because of tightness in his throwing arm.
