You had me fooled. I thought I was reliving the same day over again :eek:

Gotta say I enjoy listening to the game on the radio waaaaaay more than watching it on tv. In a way losing the games on cable helped me relaize how great Gary Cohen is at calling a game. Ive been taking him for granted of late but I for one am glad there are no mets on cable

Plus they seem to win when I don't "watch" them on tv

I grew up with the radio, so for years now I've been turning down the sound on the TV and listening to Murph and Gary (now Gary and Howie).

With TV announcers like Fran Healy and Tom Seaver, it's really the ONLY way to go if you actually want to know what's going on in the game.

Just a little side note...today's game starts at 2:05 Eastern. What's up with these day games on Thurs?? Thought I would mention it because I just found out it was a day game, and others might not know either. :)

Yea I did that in 1999 and 2000 but then the radio was about 1-2 seconds ahead of the tv and it was weird to listen to a play happen and then see it on tv, so I stopped doing that alot. The tv braodcasting would be much better if Gary Thorne calling the game, what ever happened to him?

but anyway im with you Gary and Howie make the game much more enjoyable, and it makes me appreciate the game more and it just sounds more exciting
