View Full Version : time to show the fans if the sox are for real

this is going to be a real test for the sox. they have done very well at home this season (3rd best record) and will need to do very well to win the wild card. i think they play like 20 of the net 26 games at home, so look for a few pretty long winning streaks to get the sox going.

over the next 26 games, the sox will go 18-8

Games against Tampa Bay and Toronto are hardly a good gauge.

hah, agreed, however, if the sox start winning, they are liable to go on a streak. they will feel more confident about themselves. you know how fickle thee guys are! anything goes wrong, they lose 10 in a row, but if they can win a few in a row, it would be great for their morale, and they will win against the better teams as well

We have 10 easy games at home. We need 8 of 10 to stay in the WC race. Anything less, we can give up.

we have a very good chance of winning 8 outa 10, if not more, but i have to tell you, the wild card race is not as hot as it seems. the only team we need to watch out for is anaheim

here's the red sox...they play like the team they face. it makes sense. against bad teams, they dont give 100%, and play badly. against the yanks, they play the best baseball. this is why the sox will do well in the playoffs. because they do do well against good teams. getting into the playoffs is a different story

We SUCK against Minnesota. :angry: We SUCK against Texas. The only good teams we beat are Oakland and the Yanks. We are far weaker now. Doom. :(

and the two teams we will play in the playoffs will be oakland and the yankees. we just gotta hang tough and win the wild card, then we will go far
